University group says survey underestimates colleges' attempts to deal with sexual assault

Article here. Excerpt:

'Many colleges and universities are "failing to comply with the law and best practices in how they handle sexual violence among students," according to Sen. Claire McCaskill, D-Mo., who Wednesday released a survey of colleges and universities.

But the American Council on Education, which represents more than 1,700 colleges and university presidents, was "greatly disappointed" in a survey that was not balanced and draws unwarranted conclusions, the organization's general counsel, Ada Meloy, said.
...
Her survey also found that more than 20 percent of universities provide no training in sexual assault for faculty and staff, and that more than 30 percent do not do so for students, McCaskill said.
...
But Ada Meloy, general counsel for the college group, said that McCaskill's interpretation of her own numbers do not give enough credit to colleges and universities that are not automatically equipped to handle often "incredibly difficult cases," involving "word-on-word" cases that often stem from too much drinking. The survey "treats the rights of the accused as an afterthought, which colleges and universities clearly cannot do," Meloy said. It also ignores "how hard colleges and universities are working to address a serious and complex societal issue," she said.'

911. Was there an assertion of underage drinking involved? Was there an assertion of a sexual assault? Regardless of the drinking, there's an assertion of a criminal offense. Call the police. Easy enough.

I am beginning to wonder if this will all backfire on the feminists.

Let them collect data: they will see there are so few rapes on campuses.
Let them review the 55 colleges: I hope they (or MRA's) advertise the results.

The only possible drawback is hiring too many feminists. Already, Columbia U. is about to open a SECOND rape center on the campus (mind boggling stupid waste of money as the first one rarely gets calls). And, in turn, these feminists will need to justify their jobs and "create crises."

But, in time, even that would backfire (providing men survive on campuses: my only concern).

So, I think, if men hold on (and many moms are now waking up to the unjust accusations against their sons), this might all backfire (or, at the very least, make the "war on women" slogan trite and worn out by the 2016 election cycle.

If anyone with a dog in the race who'll get some kind of gain by results that show *whatever* is true from such a study has anything to do with it, the results are a foregone conclusion. When was the last time feminists did a study on anything having to do with male-female relations wherein the conclusion did not include such things as "patriarchal oppression", sexism vs. women, and of course, rape, with the inevitable conclusion that more money needs to be spent on the many problems they declare exist.

Money. OK, it may never stop the evil patriarchy, but "better fed than dead". :)
