Teacher: Girl, 16, lying for revenge

Story here. Excerpt:

"Court records show Seale has never been convicted of a crime in the Carolinas.

...he was fired from Chester High in 1992, after female students accused him of touching them on the hip and breast, making sexual remarks and inviting them to a hotel, according to a story in The (Rock Hill) Herald the next year. The Herald cited court records filed by the school district.

At the time, Seale denied the allegations saying the students had caused problems in his class and were retaliating because they had been disciplined."

Somehow I have a feeling we will be seeing more about this case in future. Keep your eyes peeled!

It depends on if the guy is guilty or not. If he's guilty: Mass media coverage. If he's not guilty: buried

Also, if he is found not guilty absolutely no action will be taken against the teen girl as it will likely end with a - not enough evidence to convict. That will be spun to protect her by the DA into - that does not mean she's lying so we have decided to take no action against her.

Note that he is a Black male, and an "odd-looking" one to boot..plus they found it necessary to mention his 500 dollar "embezzling" charge (which he was found innocent of). You can tell the back-country Carolina boys, including the press, have it in for this guy.

I used to live in Charleston S.C., I knew a couple of those redneck Rock Hill boys from the Navy Yard. Actually most of the state consists of rednecks and white aristocracy anyway. I never have undertood why any Black man would want to keep living in the Deep South (which Charleston is). I guess it is just an attachment to home or whatever.

I don't think anyone's mug shot is a particularly flattering picture of them, but he looks like a pretty normal looking 62 year old man to me. I don't see anything strange or out of place about his face.

I agree that they should not be publishing his picture or name as the charges appear quite questionable right out of the gate let alone at trial where the charges will probably fall to pieces.

And why should black people not want to live in the deep south? Fuck racist rednecks, if black people want to live there good for them, I hope the racist motherfuckers are so infuriated by it that every day of their racist lives is hell just knowing that they lost and that anyone can live and make a living where they please.

That's why I put it in quotes: "odd-looking"-people get the idea early on from the article, that he is "up to something"..so they read that characteristic into his face.
You know the mentality: "he looks like he's guilty of something"..

And yes, most of the Blacks down there do seem to have adjusted in a sense, to the historical, never-ending racist mentality there.
I guess it's "let's pretend that we don't mind the racist whites, so then they will pretend that they don't know we're pretending.."

The the blacks who choose to live there feel:

Lets be proud, successful decent people and let those racist mother fuckers stew in their own hatred when they see us buying big houses, driving new cars, sending our kids to good schools, taking good jobs, opening new businesses and living our lives better in every way then them. Fuck those racist redneck sister fuckers, they aren't gonna hold us back.

I don't think they are pretending not to see them or pretending not to mind them. I think most are confidently standing up and living their lives with a real 'fuck them racists' attitude.

Big cars and big houses?
Also, you seem not to understand that there is somewhat of a subtle "mind game" that goes on between Blacks and Whites. It's like you're pretending that there's no pretending going on.

(note: southern Florida does not count as the South; also most of Texas isn't in the South, and only part of Maryland is)
