Damsels in Excess: A Powerful Critique of Modern Feminism, Its Myths, MGTOW and Men's Rights
Just began reading this book, published in late 2024. I've read enough to be able to recommend it. Excerpt:
'For decades, society has been shaped by a matriarchy, a narrative that pushes men aside and elevates women to positions of unchecked power. Damsels in Excess pulls back the curtain on the rise of feminism and its Marxist roots, exploring how a movement originally meant for equality has instead created a world where men are demonized and women are made miserable. This is the book that cuts through the propaganda to reveal the catastrophic consequences of a feminist-driven society.
At its core, Damsels in Excess tackles the crisis of masculinity and the displacement of young men. Boys are falling behind in education, career prospects, and even basic social skills. The male crisis has been ignored for too long. “We’ve created a generation of young men who have been abandoned by society, told to apologize for their very existence, and forced into a role of silent suffering,” Scheffer writes, shedding light on a troubling truth—young men today have no clear path forward in a society that has turned its back on them.
Meanwhile, fathers, the backbone of families and societies, are being slandered and discarded. The “deadbeat dad” label is weaponized by the family courts, the media, and even public opinion, painting men as failures while systematically denying them the chance to be involved in their children’s lives. But the true horror doesn’t stop there. #MeToo has turned every interaction between a man and a woman into a potential minefield, further disenfranchising men and exacerbating the tensions between the sexes.'
